Sunset or Sunrise

For context: This poem was written and picture taken when I was waiting in Bangkok, trying to get back to China to be with my wife again…had already been apart for 7 months…it’s been nine months and I’m still waiting…but it is a pretty picture, even if the poem is a bit melancholy…

Every day is one more
Sunset or Sunrise.
Rules that should determine
Change, yet remain translucent.
Color, direction,
time blurs,
Never lost but always obscure.

Everyday is one more
Closer or further
Rules that should determine
Change, yet we remain ignorant.
Hope, faith,
time blurs,
Never lost but always obscure.

Every day is one more
Sunset or closer,
Further or sunrise,
Rules almost understood
Change, yet the stanza remains
Passion, intention,
time blurs.
Never lost but always obscure
